A brief history of the Grallet family in Rozelieures, LorraineSince 1895, in 1895, Michel GRALLET, Amable and Ophèle GRALLET’s son, planted his first mirabelle plum trees in Rozelieures. His son Jean extended the orchard and built a distillery. In 1973, after having undertaken agronomy engineering studies, Hubert GRALLET took up the business of the family and created the sale market of eaux de vie and liqueurs directly from the property. He also planted 3 Hectares of Williams pear trees. A passion for the golden fruit...Nowadays, the family cultivates 30 hectares of fruit trees, including 25 hectares of mirabelle plum trees, which represents more than 5000 mirabelle plum trees with a potential of 400 tons of fruit.
About one third of the annual production is distilled Rozelieures.
